i'm just worried about when that damned earthquake's gonna hit us in southern CA.

I would strongly suggest that anyone interested in global warming and its effects read Michael Crichton's new book, State of Fear. If you have read any of his books (like Congo, The Andromeda Strain, Jurassic Park, Prey, Sphere, Airframe, and many others), you know his style of mixing science in with a good action novel. In my opinion, he is one of the best authors of this century.

The media will always blows the threat of hurricanes out of proportion but, of course, the exception of Andrew and Katrina. I've been through most of them. You would go weeks without power and have nothing but canned food and water to consume. Some things to keep yourself occupied like to play "Frisbee" with a shingle from someone's roof, grab several rackets, tennis balls, and play air tennis or just clean up. Will always be that one hurricane that will annihilate a state. There will be plenty more coming soon to the south in the years to come =/

I agree with you. I also find it (somewhat) funny, that a person with your avatar reads books that almost ALWAYS end up as sega, ps and whatnot games. LOL!!!!
